  • The WikiFemme Learning Lab aims to foster awareness and proficiency to women in Hausa Wikipedia through targeted training sessions. This project seeks to empower female participants with the skills needed to contribute effectively, enhancing the representation of Hausa language and culture on the Wikimedia platform. Through engaging workshops, we aspire to create a community of knowledgeable women contributors dedicated to enriching the content on Hausa Wikipedia, thereby promoting inclusivity and diversity within the Wikimedia ecosystem.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I will share Via Hausa Wikipedia Discussion page and General WhatsApp group and Telegram.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will let the participants know via WhatsApp group of our previous projects and face to face discussion with others

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse your proposal as proof of availability)

All the participants have smartphones while others have laptops

I will continue engaging them via WhatsApp group

  3. Events'banner:₦15,000.
  4. Branded T-shirts for organizer and facilitator:₦5,000×2=₦10,000.
  5. Data expenses for participants and facilitators:₦1,000×20=₦20,000.
  6. Contingency:₦10,000.
