  • This Project seeks to bridge the gender education gap by training girls and women on how edit and creates new articles about Nigerian Women in Education on Wikidata and their quotes on Wikiquote, conducting workshops on women's rights, and harnessing the power of art for advocacy. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower girls and women in underserved communities, fostering greater gender equality and awareness in Ekiti State.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

To publicize the edit-a-thon and reach out to potential participants, we will use a variety of methods, including:

- Posting announcements on the Art + Feminism and Wikipedia events pages. - Posting announcements on relevant social media platforms, such as Facebook and Whatsapp  - Reaching out to local groups and organizations with ties to Ekiti State and women's education.

Yes, the participants have their smart phones which they would contribute from.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

Ongoing support and mentorship to participant on our created Whatsapp group 

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

This extends its impact beyond the local community by contributing to improving Nigerian women's education representation on Wikidata and wikiquote. By fostering gender equity, the project not only empowers women in Ekiti State but also serves as a catalyst for broader awareness and recognition of the achievements and contributions of Nigerian women, ensuring their rightful place in history and education. This dual focus on local empowerment and global representation makes the project a powerful force for change.

Janebecky( project Lead): I am an experienced trainer and editor. Cofacilitated and won  previous Art + Feminism campaigns 
Ebubechukwu1(co - Facilitator): She is an experienced trainer and editor ,having facilitated major wikidata and wikiquote editing campaigns,edit a thons and training sessions.She will be deploying her skills under volunteer capacity to train editors
