From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Project summary[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

  • Wikidata Query Service is to enrich content across Wikipedia sister projects by providing structured data that can be easily queried and integrated into articles. For example, by querying Wikidata for information about notable historical figures, editors can ensure consistency and accuracy across different language versions of Wikipedia by accessing a centralized repository of data, ultimately enhancing the quality and depth of content.
  • The project aims to empower editors by providing comprehensive training on effectively utilizing the Wikidata Query Service. Through workshops and online resources, editors will learn how to harness the power of open data(Wikidata) and leverage Wikidata's query capabilities to enhance their editing skills, making the editing process seamless and easy. By bridging the knowledge gap and promoting community engagement, the project aims to foster a more proficient community of Wikidata editors with technical capabilities, adept at leveraging queries to streamline the editing process and workflow.
