  • This project aims to train editors on contributing to Wikibooks and Wikivoyage. The Wiki-A-Thon will involve a series of workshops and hands-on training sessions where participants will learn about the editing guidelines, best practices, and tools for creating and editing content on these platforms. The goal is to empower editors with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to Wikibooks and Wikivoyage, thereby enhancing the quality and reach of these collaborative platforms.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

we will be hosting a training and an edit a thon.
The training is to train at participants on engagement with other wiki sister projects aside wikidata,wiki commons and Wikipedia which includes wikibooks and wiki voyage

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

We will be communicating to our participants via WhatsApp, email and google survey

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Yes, our participants have the necessary knowledge to participate and contribute,Actively to discount be onto these projects in order first they will be making use of the tablets ,phones,laptops on any of that Internet accessible devices.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

We will be creating a ‎WhatsApp platform that would serve as a means of direct communication to our participants about the wiki sister projects, and other sister projects that will be coming up later on. We will also be adding them to the Wikipedia Nigeria community in Kwara states does the choir of, and this would help us communicate with the editors more about events that will be happening in Kwara, for them to engage and be part of the community.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

The Wikimedia Foundation and its sister projects share a strong bond, calling for contributors to effectively utilize and contribute to these projects. However, there has been a recent emphasis on equally representing and bridging the content gap on sister projects such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, WikiBooks, and WikiVoyage. This endeavor aims to enhance the relevance of these projects, aligning them with the comprehensive nature of Wikipedia.

  4. Number of of articles created or improved 70 articles created and improved on wikibooks and 80 articles created and improved on wikivoyage
  5. Number of repeat participants (for projects that include a series of events)

How do you plan to track your project metrics? We will be using the outreach dashboard and xtool to track the articles created

User:Kingaustin07:(project Organizer) I am an experienced wikibooks editor and I will be training the participants on wiki books, and how to improve articles, creates new content and follow the wiki templates to create quality article. I have trained editors on how to effectively contribute to Wikibooks as well as wikivoyage.

User:Sylvesterchukwu04:(Team member and trainer) He is also an experienced trainer and editor in wikivoyage he has organized and trained participants on wikivoyage. He is also experienced on wikibooks
