Wikimedia Project[edit]

Please state the Wikimedia project your project will focus majorly on (e.g. Wikipedia, Wikidata, etc). It is advisable to focus on one Wikimedia project, but a maximum of two projects is allowed.

  • In August we would align with the National campaign for Wikipedia pages wanting photos .
  • We plan to have one online training to launch the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos.
  • one physical training on Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos (WPWP).
  • One edit-a-thon for WPWP on Niger Delta related articles.

Through our various communication channels; including our meta page , whassap, Twitter and Facebook pages

I will be leading this project with User:SuperSwift” as a facilitator and Will also be getting supports from the leadership of the Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Through the Capacity building program and provision of internet and refreshments , we are able to support them

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

A dedicated WhatsApp for communication and post training activities and engagements

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
