1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

A two days workshop/ seminar to start the program.
√ First day: Awareness and training will be conducted by assigning an experienced editor to make empherical research as new participants are invited.

√ Second day: translation begins as planned, we plan to translate a good number of articles as the untranslated articles are already picked and compiled in a single paper.

√ A competition to award prize to the highest contributor within the next 10 weeks after the event.
√ A continuous coaching and mentorship through social media and other platforms will be utilized.

For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

The target participants are direct member of the Hausa local community from within and around Kaduna metropolis.

Before the activity, preliminary introductory engagement will be held with some selected community group specifying what the initiative is all about. The activity will then take place in central location where all participants will be converged for a two day workshop. After the event, social media platforms will be utilized for continuous engagement and coaching. 4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse your proposal as proof of availability)

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Participants may not necessarily have the skills as they are new in the system but I believe most of them will bring smartphones, laptops and other supportive devices that will help in the smooth running of the project to the venue. There is a plan of hiring laptops in supporting those that came empty hand.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

After the activities all social media platforms will be deployed and entry log will be maintained. This log will then be used to offer awards and recognition to the top editors at the end of the specified time.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

By engaging these local community members who have already identified with such need, the initiative will provide them with a practical know how to help address these gaps and guide them to own their narrative. Area of lapses as intended to be corrected and the extent of these engagement and how the outcome will compare to the intended objective.
