Jos serves as the capital city of Plateau State, Nigeria, situated in the central region of the country, characterized by a multitude of diverse languages and cultures. The objective of this project is to enhance awareness of Wikipedia in the city. The initiative involves conducting city-wide tours, distributing informational materials, engaging in discussions with the locals about Wikipedia, and culminating in a two-day physical training program. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to contribute effectively to Wikipedia.

It's a one day of awareness trip and two days of Physical training

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

Mainly via Hausa Wikipedia Discussion page and Hausa Wikimedia Community WhatsApp Group

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will invite the participants during trip and some other participants will know via WhatsApp groups and phone calls

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse your proposal as proof of availability)

Yes they will use devices mostly Phone and Laptops

I will create WhatsApp group for Jos Wikimedians
