Appreciation[edit]

  • Congratulations on your new education portal, and on achieving your milestone of engaging more than 100 libraries. It’s an impressive achievement!
  • We appreciate how Amical is actively learning from others and from its own activities, and how Amical is sharing that information through this report. For example, we noted how your learnings around Wiki Loves Monuments as a writing contest rather than a contest to generate images were based on the work of others and also informed the work of others.
  • We were excited to see the collaboration between Amical and Wikimedia Sverige on Swedish-related content on the Catalan Wikimedia.
  • We were also excited to learn how Amical is working to expand its reach in regions like Valencia and the South of France.
  • We appreciate how Amical strategized to combine its three big activities into one event to save on costs and allow more people to attend.
  • Thank you for your observation that online competitions are effective when paired with outside events. This is an interesting approach that others can learn from
  • We are interested to see how Amical is working on Wikiquote, and would like to learn more about this area of work for the organization in future reports.

Points for improvement[edit]

  • We encourage Amical to be more specific when reporting about its activities. It would be good to have more exact information included directly in this report (e.g. number of libraries you are working with, number of articles created through your writing contests), so that we have a better idea of your achievements.
  • Consider including a table in future reports that shows your overall progress across different programs. It would be helpful to understand things like the number of participants in your activities or the number of articles created or improved overall.
  • We appreciate the photographs included in this report, and encourage Amical to include more photographs and videos related to its activities, including photographs showing the type of content Amical is supporting in addition to photographs showcasing volunteers doing activities.
