On this report[edit]

We realized that the new reporting format can produce very lenghty reports. However, we think that creating very long reports is probably not the most sustainable approach given the increasing number of APG applicants and the the fact that the FDC is a volunteer committee. It might also be an overwhelming task for other individuals or affiliates who try to mine learnings and information from these reports. Therefore we decided to refrain from lenghty statements and rather produce shorter and more easily digestible stories on our programs, making the most out of the fact that our reports are on wikis by linking to background information where necessary. We also tried to focus on platforms that make information and know-how easier to access for others, such as the learning pattern library. --CDG (WMAT staff) (talk) 20:49, 30 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Just for the record: We liked the idea of "program in pictures" and we are copying it on our Amical Wikimedia report. Crediting source when its due. Good luck! ;)--Kippelboy (talk) 14:51, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Glad you liked it - it's always nice to see how these little ideas get adopted. I also often get inspired by other the other grantees. Happy reporting! --CDG (WMAT staff) (talk) 15:00, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

from FDC staff[edit]

Hi CDG (WMAT staff), I appreciate what you shared above about the possibility that this may create long reports. I appreciate too how you tried to manage this approach. This was a new form that we are testing out and have a lot to learn from. It's awesome to see too that Kippelboy liked the program in pictures idea.

I want to thank you for submitting this report and note that FDC staff will be reviewing it and sharing feedback in the coming weeks. I'm excited to review this report. Many thanks for all your efforts. KLove (WMF) (talk) 23:51, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
