Report accepted[edit]

Hi, Biplab Anand, thank you for submitting this final report and your expense documentation. My apologies for how long it took us to review it. I have reviewed and accepted both the report and the expense documentation. Congratulations, this grant is now complete!

Comments and Questions

  1. Congratulations on meeting or exceeding all the goals you set for this grant! According to the dashboards for both events, since you submitted the report even more articles have been created or edited: You're now up to 287 articles created or edited on Maithili and Nepali wikipedias. That's a great result for a first-time event!
  2. Creating a possible list of articles to be edited or created ahead of time is a good way to keep participants on track, especially for an online-only edit-a-thon. Even though you didn't have that this time, it still seems like participants were focused and accomplished a lot!
  3. Mother Language Day has passed for 2019, but you mentioned in the report that you would like to consider hosting the edit-a-thon again in the future. Is that something you see yourself doing in 2020, perhaps? Has there been interest from the community in a follow-up event?

Many thanks for all your hard work on this grant, and for sharing its results with WMF and the community. We welcome any additional information you would like to share, at any time.

Hello, LSmith (WMF)
Thanks for your compliment. We as a team always think about to accomplish the task in better and safe way. We always tried our best to reach the target and make the event memorable for the team and for the community. I am really sorry for not organizing this event this year because of my final examination but I will surely continue this event in next year. Thanks--Biplab Anand (Talk) 06:19, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
