Moved to Draft[edit]

Hello Felipe da Fonseca I have moved your project to draft since we weren't able to review your proposal within the date it was proposed. If you are still planning to pursue the project in the new year please change the dates on the proposal and change the status back to proposed. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 23:49, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@WJifar (WMF): Please undo. It's not a draft, we already held the event. I personally was terribly disappointed with Wikimedia's lack of seriousness, ethics and professionalism in event funding. Reason why I decided to never do any event that involves Wikimedia. @Lechatjaune: @Stanglavine:.--Felipe da Fonseca (talk) 03:44, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@WJifar (WMF): I did myself. You have not reviewed the request in time. Please respect the status of our proposal. Do not change again. We still expect to get back some of the expenses. --Felipe da Fonseca (talk) 03:47, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comments from WMF[edit]

Hello, Felipe da Fonseca. Due to the severe backlog in rapid grants, it was only now that we are able to review this grant proposal. Our policy is not to retroactively fund initiatives that happened prior to approval; however, because of the severe backlog we faced, rather than move the proposal to 'not funded', we are open to making one exception and reviewing this proposal. For this, we need you to submit your expense documentation to rapidgrants@wikimedia.org to have an understanding of the real vs planned expenses, and to see what are the exact expenses we can fund. If we do not hear from you in the next two weeks or if you are no longer interested in complying with the due diligence process for this grant because of the extra work it will mean for you, I can move it to not funded. Regards, MMontes (WMF) (talk) 19:04, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sending one last message, Felipe da Fonseca, before we move this proposal to 'not funded' next week. MMontes (WMF) (talk) 09:57, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MMontes (WMF): Hello! Thanks for the answer. Felipe is not active at the moment, but I also participated in the activity and I will gather the documentation. I only ask one more week of deadline because I only saw your message now. I thank the attention. Rafael (stanglavine) msg 11:55, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Grant request update and approval[edit]

Emails were exchanged with Felipe da Fonseca and Stanglavine; Stanglavine shared expense documentation and a report of the activities that were undertaken. Rapid Grants will reimburse Stanglavine for the 323.54 USD in expenses with the understanding that there were severe delays in communications on the WMF side during the months following the application, and grantees understand that, going forward, WMF will only fund activities and expenses that have previous approval.
