Response to Wikimedia Foundation Staff Questions[edit]
Hi Alex, thank you for your questions regarding the Jewish Museum's Edit-a-thon proposal. I completely understand about the honorarium policy for speakers; below is an amended breakdown of our budget:
1. Food and drink = $750
2. Local travel costs for presenters/artists = $100
3. Miscellaneous supplies, printing costs = $200
4. Swag to recognize exceptional contributions and volunteerism = $400
We have sent speaker requests to a number of female artists in our collection including Joan Snyder, Laurie Simmons, Deborah Kass, Joan Semmel, and Arlene Shechet. We have close relationships with these artists and except to confirm at least two presenters by the end of January, before promotional materials are sent for the event.
