Request for additional information on report

[edit]

Hello Mompati Dikunwane, thank you for submitting this grant report. Given that some time has elapsed on this report do you have more things to tell us on how the equipment was used? Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 00:00, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello WJifar (WMF), i hope all is well with you. Well the equipment has been used on some of our meet-ups here and other non-wikimedia related events. It continue to be used by other wikimedians, new bies, volunteers trying to improve the public domain using wikipedia tools, or in events that are mission alligned to Wikimedia. Hello, Mompati Dikunwane; thank you for this update. To ensure that the movement funds have been used adequately in this camera purchase, we need you to include on your report a list of events in which the camera has been used, as well as links to photos taken with it that have been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. Regards, MMontes (WMF) (talk) 21:05, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello MMontes (WMF), find the list of photos belowː

1. Dihosana dancers at an event attended by Volunteers from our community

2.Cattle_in_Botswana

Some of the photos were just posted on social media platform not on meta.

Thank you.

Hello, Mompati Dikunwane; thank you for your update. I am accepting your report and closing this grant, but I want to leave it on record that, given that the funds for this camera were approved in 2017, having only two lists of photos on Wikimedia Commons means that this equipment has not been sufficiently used. Movement funds should be allocated only for expenses that will further the Wiki mission. Regards, MMontes (WMF) (talk) 20:30, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
