Grants talk:Project/Rapid/New green innovation

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Hello Kpodosky thank you for submitting a grant request to curate a list of green innovations. Unfortunately, we cannot fund your grant proposal as equipment funding is provided to User Groups with a specific plan of how it is going to be shared amongst the group. From what I understand of your proposal this equipment will be personal use for the two people in your group or the three of you as far as camera equipment is concerned. I hope we will be able to work on other projects in the future. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 19:07, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Moved proposal to not funded again[edit]

Hello Kpodosky, I have moved your request back to not funded again for the same reason as above. Please leave your comments here in the discussion page if you have additional comments. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 13:19, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Moved back to proposed with more details[edit]

Hello WJifar (WMF) , I would have to move the proposal back to proposed funding again for the reason of been unable to fully edit and complete it before been interrupted by power outage( only kept track via mobile which is limited) given that it took over a few days to reply should indicate the enormous challenges faced to get such a project in place from where I stay and has nothing to do with personal obligations. Still I'm optimistic and hard press on getting it done.

I would add those details but electricity has been irregular, and with constant data networks drops prevented those bespoke requirements until now. Those limitations , coupled with little equipment are the reasons for the request, of grant , to help buffer the little facilities and leave us enough creative space to complete the project. Do write to me ( Kilankopaul@gmail.com ) or request for a live chat. I am, when the utilities allow, would be open to it. Thanks 15:19, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
Hello Kpodosky, thank you for letting me know why you moved your request to proposed. The best place to keep working on it is actually in draft so I've changed the status to draft for you. This way you can keep working on it. Please consider my comments for your request not being funded before you put too much work into it. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 11:56, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Final draft and a completed Proposal[edit]

Hello WJifar (WMF) , I appreciate your understanding and have taken note of your advice.

With this new update I have decided on getting other materials ourselves I.e manage and cover logistics cost (Ugo and I) hence opting for a reduced grant to get the most basic of necessities ( 2 work station Laptops ) to enable us continue work as we already begone with the project-- although with a somewhat limited capacity.

We are still faced with the limits of power, WiFi and a space. But we are thinking innovatively, timing our work period with electricity availablity: using data networks for access: and shuffling WiFi free cafes to optimize our work process.

Currently we are doing information collation physically ( searching online with our phones ( my only Laptop - Sony Viao -- recently brokedown.

We are storing contacts and information , design and outlines of proposed goals and process , entering them on papers and notes pads pending the availablity of an electronic station --

Continuing Discussion.[edit]

Hello WJifar (WMF) saw your update on the other proposal. The duplicity wasn't intentional.

Couldn't find the application after our last interaction, and promptly assumed it was deleted as I tried to update it, with new adjustments. so I created another.

Only after your notification was I able to track back and find it , piggybacking on the list of previous mentions.

I have promptly saved it on my Opera Mini to recall, and will check up on your discussion to keep updated.
