Question from WMF[edit]

Hi, Kamal Osama I hope you are well! Would you please update this grant application with a precise grant end date (day, month, and year)? We need a full date to begin our review process. Many thanks, LSmith (WMF) (talk) 01:25, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Answer[edit]

Hi LSmith, I have updated the grant end date. Please, Take into consideration that the contest will take a duration of 3 months and we are eager to start as soon as possible. --Kamal Osama (talk) 13:57, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Comments from WMF[edit]

Hello Kamal Osama, thank you for responding to my colleague's question regarding project dates. I have a few of follow up questions for you.

  1. Can you please tell us how you calculated expenses for each meet-up?
  2. You mention your target improved or created article to be 350 articles. Can you also tell us how you estimated this number of articles?
  3. You have a line item for prizes for judges. Normally judges don't receive prizes. Can you explain why you need to give the judges prizes?
  4. Regarding prizes for winners, I don't see anything in the notes about what the prizes will be. I would like to reiterate that we no longer allow cash prizes. Can you please add a note about what you plan to give to the winners as a prize.

Looking forward to hearing your responses on these questions so we can proceed with review. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 04:08, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to Draft[edit]

Hello Kamal Osama, we haven't heard back from you regarding our questions so I am moving it to draft. If you would like to re-propose this when we are accepting proposals again between March 1st and 15th, you're welcome to do so. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 01:52, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
