Comments on your Final Report and Finances[edit]

Hello Jadnapac thank you for all the work you did to bring Wiki Loves Africa to Tanzania. I really enjoyed learning about your project and going through the photos that were submitted for the contest. Here are some follow up comments and questions for you.

  • It was great to see that even though the winner of the contest is a 16 year old girl, you still stated in the "things to do differently" section that you would like to work on bringing more women into the program. I commend you on continuing to work on gender equity in your programs.
Hi WJifar (WMF), thank you so much for your commends, will do my best on bringing more women into different programs.Jadnapac (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I was able to locate the Photos for Wiki Loves Africa in Tanzania 2019[1]after looking around Commons. In the future could you please add them to your report so we can find them more easily?
Sorry for making it hard to locate the photos, and thanks for your advice, in future I will make sure to include a link to the uploaded photos during reporting so its easy for you to follow up.Jadnapac (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • We also encourage you to use the Programs and Events Dashboard [2] so you're better able to track your participants and their contributions in the future.
Noted with thanks.Jadnapac (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lastly, I see that your number of photos used in Wikimedia projects is still in progress. You can use the glamorous tool

[3] which shows that 5% (32 photos)of your photos were used in different projects to update this section.

Thank you so much. I will follow up about glamorous tool as I am a little new to using it, as well I hope the percentage may increase as recently we used the newly developed tool (ISA tool) to increase the usability of WLA photos, according to the results the second Winner came from Tanzania among the countries participated on the contest of using ISA tool.Jadnapac (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Finances[edit]

In terms of the finance section, I have two questions: 1. Could you please add a section on how much money you spent on what? It could be in a table format or it can be a list with the amounts listed next to it. We have it in our records from your expense documentation email but we would also need it here in the report for transparency.

Noted with thanks.Jadnapac (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2. In your expense documentation, we see the certificates you were able to provide winners and on it, it says the amount winners received in USD. Does this mean they were given that amount in cash?

All winners was given the prize in terms of gift cards. The amount of USD on certificates was just written to make it easier as to know who got what. Perhaps it could have been easier if we added a sentense (Gift Card). We will take this into consideration on next projects.Jadnapac (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please let us know the answers to these questions and we can move forward with closing this grant! Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 20:57, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
