Gungbe Wikimedians User Group/Annual Report 2022
This is the first annual report for the Gungbe Wikimedians User Group. It details activities from 14 January 2022 (the date when the user group was recognised) to 14 January 2023.
Major highlights of the year is the approval and creation of 3 language editions of Wikimedia projects (Gungbe Wikipedia, Gungbe Wiktionary and Gungbe Wikiquote) in gungbe language by the Language Committee after several months of sustained activities in Wikimedia Incubator within a year by members of the user group.

Outreach
[edit]Throughout 2022, members of the user group focused on recruiting new contributors by developing tutorials and conducting online and offline lessons. In particular, the the group established its own YouTube channel and recorded the first video lesson in Gungbe explaining how to contribute to Gungbe Wikitionary and make use of it.

[edit]The members of the user group made a video to create awareness of Gungbe Wikipedia and Gungbe Wikimedians User Group through online platforms to elevate the amount of viewership in the Gungbe Wikipedia through multiple online platforms.

Membership and future
[edit]The user group plans to increase its membership base and complete its registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in order to become a legal entity. Looking into the year 2023 and beyond, the Gungbe Wikimedians User Group is looking to involve more of its members in coordinating events.
