How to add a interwiki link?
For some reason, wikipedia is not available in interwiki.sql. How can I add it now that my wiki is installed? —unsigned by 81.57.93.243 19:25, 1 January 2007.

All wiktionary interwiki linking to itself fails
On this help page it states that "The long form doesn't work within the same project. The shortcut works everywhere."
Unfortunately, both the [[wikt:newbie]] shortcut and [[wiktionary:newbie]] long version don't seem to be working from Wiktionary to itself. Note that it does work from Wikipedia. Unless I'm missing something, I think when you are in Wiktionary, all interwiki linking to itself is broken. For an example, see the bottom of this page wikt:User:Caswick.
Is this the place to state this or should I be posting this information elsewhere? --Caswick 03:59, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Linking to Wikimedia project portals
Is it possible to define an interwiki link to a Wikimedia project portal, like http://www.wikinews.org? This would be very useful to have in the wikipediasister-type templates for projects that don't exist in a local language yet (to be put inside imagemap tags). --Eleassar my talk 13:01, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Alphabetic order for different names
Recently I've been noticing a certain thing that annoys me. I can't find the link for the Finnish Wikipedia in the same place. That is due that the code is fi:, but the language appears as "Suomi" as it is the native name. However, different persons and bots add them by different crieteria. Some add it by the Suomi, and some by the fi. Which should be used? I'd prefer putting it by the S, as it should appear in the list in alphabetical order, no matter what the ISO-code is. What is the case with non-latin alphabets? Are for example japanese in the correct place? Well, this doesn't really matter as they can't be placed in alphabetical order. Can bot owners be informed to fix their bots? --85.77.51.219 16:23, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
