CALL TO IMPROVE THE PRESENCE OF

NIGERIA MUSEUMS ON THE WIKIMEDIA PROJECTS

Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples, especially in a culturally inclined country like Nigeria.

In keeping up with the International Museum Day and this year's focus, we join the global International Museum Day 2022 in partnership with the Nigerian National Museum in celebrating Museum and ensuring we complete and improve the presence of Nigeria Museums on the Wikimedia projects.

"The objective of the International Museum Day (IMD) celebration in Nigeria is to raise awareness of the fact that, “Nigeria Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.”

In keeping with the Museums Day and this year's focus, we invite you to help us complete and improve the presence of Nigerian museums on Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata.
