👉 What is this Learning Clinic for? To understand the initial steps that volunteer groups can take to transform a community of editors into a structured organization after participating in edit-a-thons, campaigns, and outreach.

👉 What is this Learning Clinic for? 🤔 This clinic will inform participants about creative, impactful solutions to potential issues with copyright policy throughout the movement, looking at case studies from Wikimedia Italia and Wikimedia Colombia. Participants will be encouraged to recognise the public policy and political impacts of their work.

- Let's Connect January Connectathon
Let's Connect monthly Connectathon happens every first Friday of the month. This time, since we just got back from holiday break, we had it in the second week. It is an opportunity for all Let's Connect participants to understand what is going on with our members, the Wikimedia movement and how we can help answer some of your questions about Let's Connect.

The scholarship application for ESEAP Conference 2024 is now open! Apply for scholarship before 15th January 2024 (AoE) at ESEAP Conference 2024/Scholarships.
The Wikimedia ESEAP Conference 2024 will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia in May 2024. Running by the theme "Collaborations Beyond the Horizon", this year's conference will assemble over 100 Wikimedians from East, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific on the mission towards free knowledge.

A vote to ratify the charter for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) will be open from 16 January until 30 January 2024 via SecurePoll. Find more details on voting instructions and voter eligibility.
Story from Let’s Connect[edit]
Discussion: Reshaping Access and Sharing of Cultural Heritage: Following the presentation, we engaged in an insightful discussion about GLAM-Wiki partnerships and their impact on cultural heritage collections. We explored various questions that stimulated thought-provoking conversations among participants:
Learning from Wikimedia Indonesia: We pondered what lessons other organizations could draw from Wikimedia Indonesia’s experiences and how these learnings could be applied in different contexts.
Challenges and Best Practices: The discussion delved into the challenges faced by Wikimedia Indonesia, encouraging participants to share best practices from their own experiences in collaborating with Wikimedia or similar projects.
Impact Measurement: We explored methodologies and metrics for impact measurement, discussing what’s most effective or challenging in this area.
Legal and Copyright Challenges: The conversation also touched upon how various organizations have navigated and overcome legal and copyright challenges in their collaborations.
Capacity Building: A key aspect of the discussion was capacity building, specifically how organizations can empower their staff and community members to contribute actively to Wikimedia projects.

Welcome to the first Wiki Mentor Africa Hackathon, for this unique event, we will focus on the ISA TOOL. This tool is critical in the region for important campaigns such as "Wiki Loves Africa".
This hackathon is a chance for everyone, whether new or experienced, to learn, share, and help. The team wants to improve the ISA Tool together and make our WIkimedia community stronger. Join them to make a Difference!
