Maithili Wikimedians User Group/Outreach/Wiki Loves Earth 2018 in Nepal

Wiki Loves Earth is an international photographic competition to promote natural heritage sites around the World through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons). To promote the natural heritage sites of Nepal, Maithili Wikimedians decided to organize the series of photo walk with the photographers over the plain and valley.

Venue: Sivalik Hills— Rajbiraj, Rupani, Kalyanpur, Mahadeva
Meeting Point: Tribhuvan Chowk, Rajbiraj

To promote the Wiki Loves Earth 2018 in Nepal competition, We organized our first photo walk event in Saptari, Nepal. We covered 28 km of area taking images of natural heritage in the beautiful environment. We invite the local camera enthusiasts to gather in a group and take pictures of Natural heritages around Sivalik Hills and other natural things.

Wiki Loves Earth 2018 in Nepal→ Promotional Event at Texas International College, Kathmandu[edit]

We organized an orientation class for 3^rd semester Bachelor (IT) students at Texas International College to aware them about Wiki Loves Earth 2018 in Nepal. The students were learn to upload images to Wikimedia Commons and aim of the competition. Later, the students were created their account at Wikimedia Commons.

We covered around 40 km of area taking images of natural heritage in the beautiful environment. We invite the local camera enthusiasts to gather in a group and take pictures of Natural heritages around Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and other natural things.
