Wikimedia Workshops will be held in July and August in five educational institutions located in Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Malappuram districts of Kerala. These workshops are aimed at promoting the use and contribution to Wikipedia, the world's largest online encyclopedia.
Four of the workshops are specially designed for Bachelor of Arts students, while one is dedicated to secondary school teachers. The goal of these workshops is to empower the participants to become active contributors to the Wikimedia community and to help them gain valuable skills in research, writing, and digital literacy.
The workshops will cover a range of topics, including how to create and edit Wikipedia articles, how to use Wikimedia Commons to upload and share media files, and how to use Wikidata to organize and analyze data. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the Wikipedia community and the different ways in which they can contribute to this global project.
The workshops are being organized by a team of experienced Wikimedia volunteers who are passionate about spreading knowledge and promoting digital literacy. We believe that these workshops will not only benefit the participants, but also help to build a more diverse and inclusive Wikimedia community.
