MediaWiki talk:Centralnotice-template-WMDE Spring Advocacy Mobile

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Danke, aber das reicht nicht![edit]

@John Weitzmann (WMDE) and Seddon (WMF): On the one hand, it is nice to see that you tried to make the banner “nice” on mobile devices, but there are people using a modified desktop skin for mobile reading and editing. They still see font lapping out of the box, because you made two different banners, one for the “desktop” skins one for Minerva (which you can also choose in the preferences as desktop skin, just by the way …), instead of a responsible one which reacts on the window size (this should be the only criteria how the banner looks; remember: I can resize my browser window to any resolution I want). You should really build your banners so that they work everywhere. This is not an alternative for responsible CSS!

Now, the campaign ends tomorrow, but maybe think about it in the future. Regards, KPFC💬 16:46, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
