Introductory meetup for wikipedia on 27 sept 2017

Introduction[edit]

An introductory meetup was organised at Bhopal by Wikimedians User:Suyash.dwivedi and User:Swapnil.Karambelkar in which total 11 wikimedians participated including 3 new members.It was a 2.30 hour long lacture cum discussion where new members were introduced to wikimedia in general and wikipedia in specific and doubt solving session was conducted for old members.

To create new members and active contributors and help old contributors to participate actively in Wikipedia activities

At the office premises of Total Project Solutions, we are thankful to User:Suyash.dwivedi for his assistance in providing a friendly space.We are also thankful to Wikipedian Vijay Tiwari for providing Projector for the meetup.

Flow of Event[edit]

In a presentation given by Swapnil.Karambelkar on “ Introduction to Hindi Wikipedia” he explained the present position of Hindi in Wikipedia, how to create an account on Hindi Wikipedia, Create new pages and edit the existing Hindi Wikipedia pages.Introduction about Five pillars of Wikipedia, creative commons was also given by User:Suyash.dwivedi . in this event, slide presentation along with live editing session, specially designed for Hindi Wikipedia was also done.
