Uh

[edit]

This is just an example page. Holy Goo (talk) 05:04, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Holy Goo: I came here to read about maintenance. I'm confused. Someone's probably going to get scolded for this. Mr. Guye (talk) 05:07, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
I wonder how many people are here at this very moment. Holy Goo (talk) 05:08, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Huh?

[edit]

I came here to read about the imminent maintenance. I got an example page. Mr. Guye (talk) 05:06, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

What happened? What's going on? A Chris80 (talk) 05:11, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps one of the "temporary issues" is lack of a proper page describing what the maintenance is. Mr. Strong Bad (talk) 05:13, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
(Edit conflict.) A Chris80 Good question. No one really knows right now. I came to read about imminent maintenance and I got an example page. Mr. Guye (talk) 05:16, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

My entire work history/page edits are gone... maybe that has something to do with it...gulp. JericVgilbert (talk) 05:27, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

What?

[edit]

I came here to read about the maintenance but I get what? an example page? Can someone explain me what the h*** is going on?

Can we protect this project page for now?

[edit]

As the link accidentally redirects to here can we edit-protect this project page for now? People are vandalizing it with fake maintenance information. - Vanstrat (talk) 05:21, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Vanstrat. This should be protected until things are resolved. Mr. Guye (talk) 05:25, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Given the history of this page (it had a "maintenance will happen soon" message on its first revision), it seems like this sort of accident might potentially happen again? Permanently protecting it may be needed as a "just in case" because having an editable page in the sitenotice WMF-wide seems like a problem. So I agree with both of you. ais523 (w:en:)
The "maintenance will happen soon" had no credibility, it was an IP user. Anyways the link to this page in the notice seems to have been removed so hopefully that'll solve it. - Vanstrat (talk) 05:31, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Guess

[edit]

Perhaps they're getting some stats on how many people will come here, bow soon... –Ammarpad (talk) 05:24, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

What is going on?

[edit]

Well I signed in and found all my work history and watch list blank... Without any explanation except a construction notice at the top of the page, leaves me assuming this is the reason. If anyone else is experiencing this same issue then we have some sort of understanding. Otherwise I may have a problem. If you are reading this and are having the same problem then at least let this be a reassurance that this is temporary. UPDATE... Problem solved! Back to buisness. Again???
