CIS-A2K is constantly endeavoring to network with like-minded organisations in knowledge building sector. There are many thematic organisations working on digital platforms to build knowledge with community participation. We have identified these and planning to evolve collaborative projects.
This is the initiative by pioneering literary movement Granthali in 20.. The concept & objective of the project is to document the heritage, hidden personalities, innovative experiments by voluntary organizations and changing cultural aspects of the society. In the last few years, the organization has nurtured groups of enthusiasts in various clusters of Maharashtra state. They have built very good knowledge repository in the form of articles on diverse topics. It contains pictures and audio-visual media also. The Village Project is being developed on the similar lines with Wikipedia community. They appreciated the methodology and the process of the same. We discussed various ways to collaborate in near future for mutually beneficial growth.
RMVS is CIS-A2K’s important institutional partner for the last two years. Many activities are being conducted collaboratively. These include Wikipedia edit-a-thons, Capacity building workshops for active editors, Unicode & Open source promotion workshops and Content donation drives. It is proposed to take this forward with more focused and intense processes for wider and deeper impact. Some of the activities discussed include –
- To create articles on State literary award winning authors and the books
- To take up thematic projects with educational institutions on the occasion of Language day
- To develop Wiki desk in Bhilar, village of books project by RMVS and community
- Content donation drives
