Utilizing the "Download Stats" Button

The “Download Stats” button in the “Home” tab of a program provides the option of downloading the program’s data in CSV format under six (6) categories. These categories are overview data, edits data, commons uploads data, editors data, articles data, and revisions data. The data tracked in these categories are valuable for gathering and analyzing information from ongoing or completed contests/competitions.

Overview Data Category

The overview data category serves as a predominant tool for program organizers to conduct a thorough assessment of an event or program. From the data, organizers can make informed decisions, plan for future events, and gauge the overall effectiveness of the program.

This category provides data on the course slug, title, institution, term, home wiki, date of creation, start date, end date, new/returning instructor, editors, new editors, articles edited, articles created, bytes added, references added, total edits, mainspace edits, article talk edits, userspace edits, article views, upload count, upload used in articles, upload usage count across all wikis, training completion rate, retained new editors, and tracked wikis.

Edits Data Category

The edits data category is essential for users seeking a detailed understanding of edit activities throughout a program. The data allows users, such as program organizers or editors, to analyze and track individual edits, assess contributor engagement, and evaluate the impact of content modifications during the program.

This category provides data on revision ID, timestamp, wiki, article title, diff, username, bytes added, references added, new article, and dashboard edit.

Commons Uploads Data Category

The commons uploads data category is important for users interested in monitoring common upload activities. This data enables users to oversee and manage the contributions made to the platform (Wikimedia Commons), assess usage impact, and track any deleted uploads during the specified period.

This category provides data on the filename, commons page, timestamp, username, usage count, and deleted uploads.

Editors Data Category

The editors data category is a valuable resource for users interested in overseeing editors' activities during a program. This data assists program organizers in monitoring individual editor engagement, tracking contributions, and assessing the overall impact of editors on the program's content.

This category provides data on the username, global ID, enrollment timestamp, date of registration, number of revisions made during the project, mainspace bytes added, userspace bytes added, draft space bytes added, references added, registered during the project, total articles created and total articles edited.

Articles Data Category

The articles data category serves as an important tool for users aiming to gain insights into articles within a program. This information allows program organizers to evaluate the performance of articles, track contributors, and utilize the provided link to the WMF Tool Labs pageview tool for additional analysis.

This category provides data on the title, rating, namespace, wiki, username, URL, edit count, characters added, references added, a new article, deleted article, pageviews, and pageviews link.

Revisions Data Category

The revisions data category is a key resource for users seeking a comprehensive analysis of revision activities within a program. This data helps program organizers delve into the intricacies of revision history, assess content modifications, and gauge the impact of revisions on article quality and visibility.

This category provides data on the article title, user, revision ID, page ID, wiki, characters added, references added, new, pageviews, deleted, WP10, and WP10 previous.
