Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Nauruan Wikibooks

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

The result of the following proposal for closing a WMF project is to CLOSE the project. Please, do not modify this page.

The following discussion is closed.

I propose to close the Nauruan Wikibooks because it has no activity at all, and no real content.

  9. Strong support - a) Project has no valuable content (Main page + 3 pages with a flag). b) Last edits on the main space during the past year was zero. c) The wiki is dead, unmantained, with no content and is a spam target. Close it and move those 3 pages to the incubator. No, sorry, we already have a bunch of inactive, dead, with no content open wikis and I do not think we need another one; currently is only consuming time & resources for nothing. --dferg ☎ talk 15:13, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  10. Support Normally, I oppose closing wikis simply because they aren't active enough, but after checking the statistics, I'm forced to admit that this wiki is completely useless. There are only two mainspace pages (not including the almost-blank main page and a redirect), both are one-sentence stubs. The last constructive contribution seems to be from late 2005 (!). Given that Nauruan has 7000 speakers, it doesn't seem as though any capable users will be joining in the forseeable future, so I think moving the project to Incubator, for now, can be justified.
