I joined the Hebrew Wikipedia as an editor in November 2023 and focused mainly on improving articles in the field of nursing and women's health, which is my area of expertise. After receiving voting rights, I participated in votes on topics of interest. On June 3, 2024, I received a surprising message on my talk page where the bureaucrat Garfield (גארפילד) informed me that I was blocked from editing "due to checks and indications that joined a pattern of editing of participation in 15 votes" since my registration to the site (in November 2023), "including sensitive votes on policy and officials". After a few hours, he decided to unblock me, but asked me to refrain from voting on the site for the next six months and demanded that I acknowledge their words (meaning promise not to vote). Two months have passed since this incident, and my motivation to continue editing has simply disappeared. I can't understand why I was blocked in the first place and why, after they realized they made a mistake, they still prevent me from the right to vote. I didn't violate any Wikipedia rule, and my participation in all the votes was within the rules. From the moment I received voting rights, there is no rule that prohibits participation in votes, including votes on policy and officials. In all the votes I participated in, I thoroughly read the arguments for and against and voted according to my free choice. If the Wikipedia community decides that only veteran editors should participate in certain votes, they should raise the issue for a vote and set such a rule. Arbitrary blocking of new editors after voting in accordance with the rules doesn't really encourage new editors to join Wikipedia. I request your help - to intervene and restore my voting rights that were unjustly taken from me, Thank you. (Lyra_silvertounge) Lyra silvertounge (talk) 12:48, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
