Wednesday, Aug. 6th[edit]

0900-0915 — Meetup begins
Introductions, ice-breakers, discussion of the event format, schedule and goals.
0915-1000 — Idea sharing (sync)
Participants review, share, and refine the project ideas in a lighting presentation format. Synchronization with meetups in Asia/Oceana will happen if they are available.
1000-1200 — Morning Work Session
Project groups pursue their projects for the remainder of the morning.
1200-1215 — Preliminary project reporting
Each project reports back to the group about what they've been doing. This is a good opportunity for those who came late to find a project to work on.
1215-1400 — Lunch break
Eat and/or continue their work over lunch.
1400-1530 — Afternoon Work Session
Project groups re-convene to continue working.
1530-1830 – Presentations and demos
Come to Frobisher 1&2 on the 4th level of the Barbican Centre to see presentations and demos about how to access and process data.
1830-1930 — Dinner!
2030-??? — Back to hacking

Thursday, Aug. 7th[edit]

0900-0915 — Meetup begins
Lightning talks for new projects (if applicable) or to discuss progress.
0915-1000 — Idea sharing (sync)
Participants review, share, and refine the project ideas in a lighting presentation format. Synchronization with meetups in Asia/Oceana will happen if they are available.
1000-1215 — Morning Work Session
Project groups pursue their projects for the remainder of the morning.
1215-1400 — Lunch break
Eat and/or continue their work over lunch.
1400-1600 — Afternoon Work Session
Project groups re-convene to continue working.
1600-1700 — Synchronization
with the meetups in North America. Those who completed projects will be invited to present on their work to geographically distributed meetup groups.
1700-1800 — Wikimania Hackathon Reflection and closure
in the Garden Room.

We'll be using the same space as the Wikimania hackathon. You'll need to register for Wikimania in order to attend. There will be plenty of power and wifi available. We'll likely have a projector to use as well.

The Barbican Centre map
