Computer Science and application department, Sambalpur university

Sambalpur University is one of the prominent university in Odisha with over 196 colleges under its affiliation in seven different districts in western Odisha. On 27th November 2016 an orientation cum workshop program for Odia Wikipedia was organized for the students of Computer Science and Application department and Odia department in Sambalpur University.

Theme

The theme of the event was to introduce Odia Wikipedia, Wikimedia Projects to students of the university.

Workshop details

Workshop occurred for five hours in two part.

1. In the first part, An introduction to Open Source , Wikipedia , Odia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects was given at the seminar hall of the Utkal University.
2. In the second half Wikipedia editing was trained to the participants.

57 participants consisting 30 male and 27 female participants including 5 faculty members attended the event.
