SheSaid events in Lagos: Quotes of notable women born in Lagos

The Wikimedians of Lagos User Group aims to bring about a change in the representation of notable women born in Lagos on English Wikiquote. The main challenge we are addressing is the underrepresentation of women from Lagos on Wikiquote, particularly with regard to notable quotes. By creating and improving content on English Wikiquote, we aim to amplify the voices and contributions of women born in Lagos and address the gender gap in knowledge.

• Day 1- Basic Overview of Wikiquote core policies and guidelines, How to navigate and edit Wikiquote, practical exercise
• Day 2 - How to navigate and edit Wikiquote (continuation), Guide to Wikiquote layout, practical exercise
• Day 3 - Evaluating Wikiquotes articles and sources, How to find good sources and cite them on Wikiquote, adding images to articles, compilation of quotes and sources of notable women born in Lagos practical exercise
• Day 4 - Editathon: Creating standard and quality pages of Wikiquote of women born in Lagos, collaborative cleaning of created articles with feedback.
