As of January 2017:

  • A discussion was held on the Portuguese Wikipedia in August 2015. The community expressed interest in training in Communications and media relations.
  • In-person training was held in São Paulo on the weekend April 9th-10th 2016.
  • A local, Portuguese-speaking journalist was consulted in advance of the training, regarding the media landscape in Brazil and particularities of expectations and norms of Brazilian media.
  • A general community survey was held in October to assess community opinion of communications and media relations capacity, to determine whether an improvement has taken place. (Unfortunately, only 10 responses were received.)
