[edit]Hi @ScottishFinnishRadish - thanks for filing this wish, I think it's a great suggestion and has clear benefits. It looks like there's been some discussion about this at T142209, though I'm not sure why that work stalled. It sounds like the most obvious way to implement this would be to enable multiple blocks to be active on a page at once with different time frames. Then when one expires, the previous protections are still active to their previously-configured expiry dates. Does that seem like a reasonable solution to you? - That's exactly how I would do it if I were writing the code. I don't see any issues where it wouldn't work, but I'm also kinda a meatheat, so I could easily be missing something. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:50, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
