"There are petitions to rename no.wikipedia.org into nb.wikipedia.org, so as to reflect the site's language being Norwegian Bokmål". no.wikipedia.org covers the Norwegian language, the nn.wikipedia.org was started so the Norwegian language form Nynorsk could be written in every article (small vocal minority in Norway). The The no.wikipedia.org follows the two normed forms Bokmål and Riksmål. There are no plans or consensus of moving to nb for the no-wiki. Hopefully the other wikis where this is a need can do it, but remove or at least correct the description in the list. nsaa (talk) 00:18, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please note the operative word here is "petitions". Whether it will ultimately be moved even after the wish get done, will depends on further community consensus, and is not to be determined by the wish here. C933103 (talk) 00:47, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but the statement "There are petitions to rename no.wikipedia.org into nb.wikipedia.org, so as to reflect the site's language being Norwegian Bokmål" is NOT correct. The language at no.wikipedia.org is Bokmål as normed by en:Language Council of Norway (Språkrådet) and Riksmål as normed by en:Norwegian Academy (i.e. two different normative bodies), see no:Wikipedia:Språkform [1] [2]. To claim that the site's language being Norwegian Bokmål is very misleading and fake. On no.wikipedia.org main page it is clearly stated "Velkommen til Wikipedia, den frie encyklopedien som du kan forbedre. 577 272 artikler på bokmål og riksmål" [3][4]. nsaa (talk) 20:32, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
