Stats to show how many times the banner appeared?[edit]

The stats show how many times the banner was clicked in the first table; "button hits". Do the figures in the bottom table ("detailed banner click analysis") refer to the number of times the banner was shown to a user? I can't quite figure it out. At any rate, I would like the first table to have a column showing "banner displays" alongside "button hits" and then hits as a percentage of displays. --Bodnotbod 11:04, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

sorry I tried to explain in the notes but obviously still confusing. The "button hits" are actually how many times the buttons on the Landing Page were pressed to donate. So the number at Credit Card shows how many times, for that landing page, someone pressed "Pay by Credit Card" and same for PayPal. The donation number next to the button hits is the amount of times someone actually GAVE a donation after pressing that button.
The new numbers (the banner clicks) are the number of times someone actually clicked on that banner after seeing it. Obviously most people who clicked on the banner did not end up clicking on a donate button. We don't actually have "banner displayed" stats though I can see if I can get them for this cycle (I'm not actually sure how possible they are to get). The closest we have are those click numbers. Do you think those should be on the first chart as well? They were originally separated more because they are different sources then anything else. Jalexander 11:45, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Do you think those should be on the first chart as well?" - I don't know to be honest, I don't mind. But I would be pleased to see a "banner displayed" column if it is possible. --Bodnotbod 13:03, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
