Card number issue[edit]

Hmm ... I feel very hesitant about giving out my card number by email. The only thing that stops somebody that found out about my card no. and the period of validity of the card to pay with the card is the 3-number long CVC-code. I rather pay on spot or take an invoice. I hope that is possible.

Hej Anna, you pay on the spot anyway. The CC No. is needed for the booking. The hotel is not going to reserve the room without a payment info. That's by the way a normal thing they do. --Manuel Schneider^(bla) (+/-) 09:28, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What you can do is to contact them directly, but on the website they don't offer the special discount which we get for the summit. And they will ask you for CC details anyway. But maybe you can just call or mail them and send them the CC details directly, if you like that better. Or you send them a letter from Wikimedia Sverige stating that they will take over the cost, so they might agree and send a bill instead. Tell me what you plan to do and I can assist you (talk to them etc.). Concerning the CC details, if you send them to me I will put them in an Excel sheet on my private computer which I am the only person having access to it, after the registration deadline I will export the data the hotel needs and send the stripped Excel sheet to the hotel. --Manuel Schneider^(bla) (+/-) 09:34, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
