Talk:GLAMcamp DC/Friendly space policy

belief system[edit]

We need to differentiate here between necessary discussion as to what is NPOV and criticism of people's beliefs. Some organisations resolve this by simply banning certain topics of conversation, especially religion and politics, obviously we can't do that as both are core topics for key projects. So we need to be clear as to where our boundaries lie. WereSpielChequers 11:58, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why this page was created[edit]

http://www.webcitation.org/64aCtvlEF – This policy was created for the sole purpose of keeping critic "Peter Damian" away from public events. I don't believe that this policy should exist. --Michaeldsuarez 21:24, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You're quite incorrect. The WMF did not make the Friendly Space policy because of Mr. Damian. You're conflating the WMF and the WM-UK chapter. Don't believe everything you hear on wikipediareview.  :-) Philippe (WMF) 08:45, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but I don't believe you, and this is based on my own conclusions, not the opinion of the Wikipedia Review. --Michaeldsuarez 13:22, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was just about to drop in and point you there. :-) Glad you found it. I can answer any questions about the WMF technical events Friendly Space policy on my talk page on mediawiki.org. Thanks! Sumanah 15:02, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
