About fratman

Real great skin, completely different and very original. But ... not adaptated to beta 1.5x version, which is a real problem because of change of navigation code beetween 1.4x and 1.5x versions. I let a message on designer blog, hope somebody (maybe him) will consider adapt skin to new version (I'm really not a developper at all), should be great !! --Valmeria 20:53, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

Horizontal header at top of page-how?

I'm trying to get a horizontal header at the top of the page like our site at http://www.tmpforums.com. I want that at the top of the page and the wiki contents below that. However for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this. Everytime I add something in Monobook.php immediately after the <body> tag, the first thing that shows up are all the tabs for article, discussion, etc. I look at the page source and I can't figure out where these are being generated. Are these being generated by the javascript that's being included in the header? How can I place something BEFORE these are generated. I'm really stumped and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I am working on a skin currently and have done exactly what you need. See my wiki: http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki . The skin is still under development and when it is finished, I will document it and clean up the code.
You can see what I have done so far here:

New MediaWiki Skinning Software ???

It took me a week

to find out /Monobook.css doesnt work but tells you it DOES .... AND that the correct link is /monobook.css

since Monobook.css pagename is with capital (by technical limitations) i suggest to have it stand out a bit ( I know where i went wrong now a week ago ;) )

also i asume its not a big thing to correct (with a redirect ?) in future versions. I found this to be the case on both mediawiki (1.4 and 1.4.9 ) and wikipedia --Bverveen 22:48, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

just like to throw in my two cents here, but the drupal skin is impossible to find on that spam haven of a site. --morgajel
