Removing white spaces around the TOC

in the traditional mediawiki skin when a TOC gets large the space on the left is unoccupied by any of the information. Is there anyway to push all the information up so that it starts alongside the TOC?

Append following code to your MediaWiki:Common.css:
#toc {
    float:right; }
this will have the TOC floating on the right border of the screen, alternativly you can use float:left to let it stay where it is, but the conten will then be just right of it. The right side is depending of the use of other floating tables in your wiki. It is the best if you put in on the oposite side of the standard "infoboxes" or it will give a floatcrash :-) --NobbZ 00:45, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

a little help here...

im trying to make a black mono skin and it works execpt for Wikipedia main page and some template boxes. all the featured news ect boxes stay white... how to fix this?

---Another User---

I have been having the same problem. 5 hours no luck. It is very strange.

curiously green

"Curiosly green skin" seems to be a backlink ploy as there is no theme found at the 3 link provided.

Either the site heebie.co.uk has been changed recently, or yes, Curiously Green never existed. However the screenshot seems to suggest it did. Remove links? 212.219.229.3 11:43, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

≈ == vBulletin skin? ==≈≈

This is pretty cool. Is there anything available for graphical improvement in combination with vBulletin? (I am using vBwiki atm but it uses default skin)--213.219.191.130 23:46, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

The Mystery of the Disappearing Sidebar/Userbar

This is what I don't understand about customizing the wiki appearance based on existing monobook code: Why am I able to run through the code, make some changes, upload the CSS, preview it, it looks fine, then I tweak it a little a few more times and suddenly when I upload it, the sidebar is gone! Not to mention the bar across the top. All I'm left with is the main content. It's not like I'm editing critical code here. I'm talking like...changing font colors...border width, you know...simple crap. Yet now, not only has the side and top bars disappeared completely, I am also completely unable to recover them! I even undid my last thirty or so changes to the CSS and they're still gone. Why does this happen!! If I knew how to make it happen intentionally, I'd be able to figure out how to stop it from happening in the first place. It is very frustrating and I've re-done the whole project from scratch with the same result too many times for it to be terribly uncommon. Any help? -- Randall00 16:59, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Too many

I suggested deleting user skins that don't have a preview. Daniel.Cardenas 01:21, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

No iPhone-customized skin?

I was surprised to find that nobody had added a wikimedia user style designed to work well on the iphone.
