Right to Work[edit]

In the last days I have thinked about how to make sure that the Human Rights as mentioned in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are respected. After my experience the propability that a Nation becomes more autocratic or a dictatorship is higher when the economical situation in a country is not good. Have you thinked about how far the way the Wikimedia Foundation pays their employees is responsible in relation to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which includes the goal that everyone has the right to work and a right to get a compensation for the work that is enough for an existence worthy of human dignity. From my point of view as long as there are people who do not have enough money to live in such an existence I think that there should be not so high compensation to specific people. From my point of view it is not responsible that there are so big differences between the compensations of different people and I hope that it will be possible to reduce the differences between the compensations of different people and that the Wikimedia Foundation is a good example in that area somewhen in the future. I know that it is currently complicated because of the location of the Wikimedia Foundation in an area not so far away from the Silicon Valley with companies that pay very high compensations. Through paying more people instead of a few a lot the Wikimedia Foundation could help to reduce the difference between rich and poor people and help that more people can work. Please tell me what you think about the right to work. --Hogü-456 (talk) 21:46, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
