Talk:Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Interlingue Wikibooks

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Late comments[edit]

  • Oppose although the proposal is already accepted I want to make comments. I overlooked this proposal as I was busy with other projects. Interlingue is certainly not a dead language. There is still an active organisation called Interlingue-Union which publishes twice a year the journal Cosmoglotta and many activities in the internet especially in the social media like an active Facebook Group, online-journals, videos etc. The Interlingue Wikipedia is active and growing. As ie.wikibooks are closed, the main focus will be to edit in English or other languages manuals etc. for learning Interlingue Valodnieks (talk) 10:35, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose What do we need to do to get the Wikibooks in Occidental reopened? --Caro de Segeda (talk) 06:36, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Contribute to the test wiki in the Incubator and get others to do the same. If a sufficient number of editors (a handful?) are active for a sufficiently long time (a few months?), then a request can be made to move the wiki back to its subdomain. (I'm not sure what the exact requirements are. Perhaps someone else can link to them.) As mentioned on the page I just linked to, if you feel like useful content exists at b:ie: that should be worked on further in the test wiki, you can request that it be moved there by an admin. (Don't just copy-paste content from the closed wiki into the Incubator. That would violate the licensing terms of both wikis.) - dcljr (talk) 00:48, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
