... but at the other hand you've got the International singer Nelly Furtado, she's Canadian but her parents are originaly portuguese so she speaks fluent portuguese, and as a metter of fact she also speaks spanish, what would help her when going to Brazil understand Brazilian Portuguese but it didn't happened, she had to give all her interviews in english,because she couldn't understand people talking! So i don't believe they are different languages, but netheir they are as similar as most believe...
