Is this idea buried forever ?[edit]

I cannot think that a 'simple English' Wikipedia will stay while they will not be other 'simple {insert language of your choice}', including 'simple French'. Is this idea still debated somewhere (I know about Vikidia but as I said, having only 'simple English' is not following Wikimedia guidelines to be multi-lingual) ?
