Talk:WMF Global Ban Policy/Archives/2021

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Official text of rulings

This page offers the text of Wikimedia official policy, established and endorsed by the Foundation. But the page is open for editing and non-official edits will not change the policy. How can readers find out, what is the offical text and what is a text with non-official edits? The proposal is, to offer the latest endorsed version of the text as PDF on the editable pages with official rulings. More clear would be, to create one space where Wikimediamovementmembers can find the latest 'fixed' versions of the most important official rules and policies. That would really help to guide discussions among users on the wikimedia-workfloors. Especially discussions between users with extra rights, like admins and users without extra rights. . On the wikimedia workfloors it's action that decide discussions, not arguments, because one is not able to come up with a reliable source on what is applicable wikimedia law and what is not. A whish list:

  1. WMF constituting articles
  2. WMF bylaws
  3. Terms of Use
  4. Official WMF policies (most important)
  5. Code of Conduct for technical places
  6. Universal Code of Conduct
  7. Principles and process to affiliate with the Wikimedia movement.

Thanks, keep up! 2001:16B8:1139:E201:85DD:896A:4A81:ECA7 09:58, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Which Ones can be Appealed?

The page says "Some office actions, including some global bans, may be appealed". Which global bans can be appealed and which ones cannot be under this policy? It would be good if the page describes the rules in more detail. 2607:FEA8:E31F:FBC1:740F:307E:D0CC:5A85 15:35, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
