It sounds very well intended, but can you ensure that you are not the 4th Reich?

Homeless camps are in fact far more aligned with sustainability goals than governments are willing to admit and the abuse and harm in projects are profound and inhumane.

Most homeless people don't mind being politely approached rather than deal with authorities; if there is an issue that is substantially affecting you. Introduce yourself well beforen approaching, ask if there's a better time, reassure your not a snitch or rat, offer help like water or a cigarrete.

Well.. where to start? I haven't understood everything in your message but WikiForLife's approach is to clearly describe the problems (in the case you cite, what are homeless people suffering from, what do they need?) in order to help them (if they want) and carry out actions (distribute water, food, help them find shelter, etc.) with citizens, relying mainly on associations (local and national).
