Unicode / Alphabet guide[edit]

Characters are also 'symbols'. Would it be reasonable to expand this proposal so that it can also act as a detailed repository for these?.

I was thinking Unicode directory initially, but there are other symbols that are present in other less well represented languages (including archaic) ones that an online character/symbol repository would be useful for.

Such a repository would also be a useful sister resource for projects like wiktionary which aim to represent possible words in all languages.

Another possibility is that it acts as directory for various free fonts/font glyphs. ( Would this be an area where Wikidata type tech could be more spefically applied?) ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 10:46, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

axpand to all symbols[edit]

A such wiki can reunite all kind of scriptural symbols: alphabets and characters, technical schematics (electrical diagram, blueprints), maps, icons, pictogram, emoji, mathematics and sciences, navigation (road and urban signs), logos, esoterism, heraldry, flags, iso labels

a copyrigthted site exists : symbols.com
