Ideas for posts?[edit]

I'd be interested in writing blog posts, but I don't have strong ideas for what to write about. I edit mostly software/web topics, so I'm not a good example of a person fixing systemic bias, but that's where my knowledge is. :) Maybe it'd be helpful to collaboratively work on a list of requested blog post subjects? My one tentative idea would be to write a friendly introduction to the guidelines for contributing to topics you're affiliated with, since I've learned a lot about this (with some trial and error), and the PR and marketing industries include a lot of women. Hi Dreamyshade! I think both your ideas are really great - one thing I'd love to see more of are "how to" guides - whether it's how to get started editing a subject you're associated with or love a lot (which can cause emotional COI :) ), and even writing some content towards women in the marketing industry is awesome - I can't count how many women I've ran into on Wikipedia who are marketers/COI people and are women. I'd also love to see general how-to's "how to copy edit an article," things like that. Just you simply saying "I'm a woman who edits Wikipedia about software, and here's my story..or what I do.." (an often male dominated subject) can help with systemtic bias - just having more women and a more diverse population contributing make a difference, and you can help inspire more women to take that next step to click the [edit] button. Thanks for the encouragement! I can write how-to posts. I'll work on an initial draft or two and get back to you. Dreamyshade (talk) 00:23, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! i can't wait to see what you create :) SarahStierch (talk) 20:40, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive?[edit]

Is this on hiatus for the summer? I was also wondering if this blog is the only element to come out of the WikiWomen's Collaborative. It's the only link I found. Thanks! 69.125.134.86 19:31, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
