Grant feedback request

[edit]

Hello, we have detailed our budget for Switzerland based projects in the grant we asked for in 2023. To achieve a detailed based project has required quite an amount of work to :

- talk with people (Rosie Step and Ciell at the Wikimedia Summit for the launch of the wikiwitch project which was presented at the wikimedia north conference in November 2023). 4 african women are interested, I also talked to Sandra Beckman during the GLAM on tour event in Montreux. Switzerland is the country where most witches were prosecuted, with Germany, and the project wikiwitch was born in Switzerland. The project will bring wikidata skills to new participant, provide collaboration with archives in Geneva, Neuchatel and Lausanne and make use of more advanced skills of open refine. We want to make the swiss project a pilot project to be reproduced elsewhere in the world. For that, what is mostly needed is human resources to

- promote & present the project - prepare to talk to interested people about the wikitechstorm event

- prepare the town based edithatons (3 planned in Switzerland in 2023 with one actual date fixed in 2023)

So we still need the budget we asked for in 2022 and did what Flor Méchain advised us to do for 2022. A computer was bought, salary was paid thanks to the help of Wikimedia France poke @Rémy Gerbet WMFr.

We would like to know what the answer to this grant is, as we have to update the WMF and WMFR grant accordingly if the asked sums are not financed by WMCH as we have designed a global budget too :). Natacha LSP (talk) 10:28, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
