Fae's suggestions[edit]

Here are a few thoughts on questions, based on my view point as the Chair. I will consult with my chapter and may revise and add to these before the deadline.

  • How would you rank the following services the WCA might offer in order of importance to the Wikimedia movement?
    • Support for groups that want to become chapters and chapters that want to improve their performance.
    • Support for all Wikimedia groups.
    • Provide governance reviews for WUGs and Chapters.
    • Support a system of peer review for WUGs and Chapters.
    • Support Wikimedia groups with requests for funding.
    • Provide an alternative voice for the movement.
  • Which would you prefer for the WCA to organize itself?
    • A Council of as many Chapter representatives as possible supported by an operational executive board.
    • An informal organic network of volunteers supported by their chapters but decentralized.
    • A social group to support international teamwork but with no central funding.
    • A virtual group with votes on resolutions but with no defined membership.
  • What would you like the WCA to call itself in the future?
